 India is going to organize the G-20 summit this time. The G-20 summit is held every year. G20 is a group of 20 countries in which the representatives of their respective countries take decisions in the interest of all. This time the G-20 summit has been organized by India in Delhi, in which representatives from each country are going to come to India.

G20 summit Delhi:

India is going to organize the G-20 summit 2023. The G20 Summit will be held from September 9-10 at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi's Pragati Maidan. These event will be attended by the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Australian PM Anthony Albanese, US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and others.

The G20 summit will be held in the national capital from September 9 to 10.

Currently, India holds the G20 Presidency from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023. Following India's tenure, Brazil is slated to take over the G20 presidency in 2024, followed by South Africa in 2025

The G20 group is of 19 countries and the EU was established in 1999 as a platform for Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors to discuss international economic and financial  issues & problem. Together, the G20 countries consist for almost 2/3 means 63% of the global population, global trade about 75% in world  and 85% GDP of the world.

The G20 Logo 

The G20 Logo is inspired from India's national flag and contains vibrant colour of the 'Tiranga', i.e saffron, white, green, and blue. The combination of lotus coloured in white green and blue with the Earth adds on to the beauty of the logo. At a time, when climate change is causing severe loss of life, property and resources, the Earth in the logo reminds of the urgency to opt for an environmentally conscious approach. Beneath G20 logo, 'Bharat' is written in the Devanagari script.

Theme for India's G20

India is going to organize the G-20 summit 2023. India always shared his developmental experience with the other neighbour country of the Global South. As India begins its G20 Presidency this year With the theme for India's G20 presidency being 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', or 'One Earth, One Family, One Future', a phrase, which originates from the ancient Sanskrit text Hitopadesha, the government has consistently used it to establish its foreign policy.

These all 19 countries are getting ready to attend G20 in India -Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Türkiye, UK and US) and the European Union (27-member group). Three EU countries, France, Germany, Italy, are counted among the 19 countries.

Security of G20 India:

Supreme Court :Metro station will remain completely closed

Dhaulakuan, Khan Market, Janpath, Supreme Court and Bhikaji Cama Place metro stations are kept in the list of sensitive places by Delhi police. Supreme Court Metro Station, the nearest station to the venue of the G20 summit will remain completely closed. From the night of 7th to the evening of 11th September, passengers going towards the airport have also been asked to use the metro.

‌According to the order issued by the police, traffic at Moti Bagh, Bikaji Cama Place, Munirka, RK Puram, IIT and Sadar Bazar Cantonment metro stations will be completely closed during VIP movement from 8 to 10 September. From here, passengers can neither come inside the metro station nor can they exit from here. In such a situation, if a passenger wants to reach around these stations, then he will have to get down at some other station.
